Your body and your bank account.
You are probably thinking, Francine has lost it. There’s no connection between my body and my bank account. These two parts of your life may seem dissimilar, yet they have everything in common. Both are indicative of how you show up for yourself. Each requires your continual attention. Further, each, when attended to, can render untold benefits. When neglected, each will restrict your freedom and keep you stuck. That said, it depends on the choices you make.
This quarter’s worksheet invites you to explore the connection between these two pillars. It’s not about perfection. It’s about clarity, self-respect, and taking Esteemable Actions that align with your values. This is why it is critical that you first understand what you value.
Here’s how to get the most out of this section:
Name your values.
They will guide your decisions. Think of them as your personal North Star.
Honestly, review your life alongside your values.
If possible, assess your situation without too much judgment. This lets you know your starting point.
Examine your habits.
You can’t change what you can’t see.
Explore your feelings regarding your current health and finances.
Labeling your feelings helps you see where confidence is growing and where fear or stress is holding you back.
Identify your Plan of Action.
That might be booking a doctor’s appointment, setting up a savings plan, cooking at home more often, or reviewing your budget weekly.
Break your goals into measurable time frames.
Quarterly: Your BIG picture outcomes for the next 3 months.
Monthly: The measurable steps that will help you get there.
Daily/Weekly: The small, repeatable actions that turn intentions into rea
These Esteemable Actions are designed to help you feel better about yourself and your life.
Not Just Check the Box.
The actions suggested here are not simply about checking off the boxes. They provide you with a snapshot of how you value yourself.
When you choose Esteemable Actions that reflect your values, you start to establish stability, pride, and peace of mind in the areas of health and finance. These things you do for you, no one else.
This is the heart of what I call Esteemable Acts, intentional, value-driven choices that build genuine self-esteem over time. They do not have to be grand or complicated; they just need to be small, manageable, consistent actions that move you toward the ideal you.
They can be as simple as keeping a promise to yourself, taking a walk instead of skipping exercise, drinking water instead of another soda, cooking a healthy meal at home instead of ordering takeout, transferring $25 into savings instead of spending it, or finally opening that bill and making a payment.
Each small step sends the message, I matter. This philosophy is at the core of my work and my book, Esteemable Acts: 10 Actions for Building Real Self-Esteem, where I share the practices that transform self-respect from an idea into a lived reality.
The Vision and Values series and this quarter’s Health and Finance focus are designed to help you bridge the gap between what you believe in and what you do every day.
Download the Health and Finance worksheet, take an honest look at where you are, and commit to one small Esteemable Action today. Over time, these acts become the foundation for a healthier body, a stronger financial future, and deeper trust in yourself.
It doesn’t matter where you start, it’s just important that you start somewhere. Get busy.
