“The audience voted as their favorite presenter copyright attorney and motivational speaker Francine Ward, whose motto is: Speak Your Way to Bigger Law Practice (and get paid doing it).” – Legal Rebels 2010:  10 Ways to Build a Perfect Practice and Career Program, Annual Meeting 2010 American Bar Association, San Francisco.

During a recent news broadcast from KRON Channel 4 Francine Ward said,

“When you don’t feel good about yourself you make wrong choices in terms of relationships, the jobs you settle for, you make wrong choices in every turn.  When you make wrong choices it breeds that sense of being a victim.  To make a change it is all about keeping agreements with yourself, making different choices, and walking through the fear.  What is the one little thing you can do today to help you feel better about yourself?”

Francine has been helping people who feel the mountain is too big to move to overcome that feeling by showing them how to take small steps that lead to big results.

What Others Say About Francine

Book Passage Event

“Francine Ward has been crisscrossing the nation delivering her message. And it seems to be something the public is anxious to hear. When she did a reading at Book Passage in Corte Madera a couple of months ago, about 250 people showed up.”

"It was an amazing event," said Paula Herman, Events Coordinator for Book Passage. "It's highly unusual for that many people to come see a first-time author. Not many more people showed up when Deepak Chopra came here. And Mariel Hemingway had about the same amount of people come for her reading."   After that event, "Esteemable Acts" debuted at No. 8 on the Chronicle's best seller list for nonfiction.

Suggested Media Questions

  1. You talk about having the courage to be extraordinary--in what ways do you see yourself as extraordinary?
  2. You've been heard to say that sometimes painful experiences in life can be our best teachers. Explain.
  3. You say that "Self esteem comes from DOING Esteemable Acts." What do you mean? Why do you emphasize the "DOING" aspect? That seems to go against conventional thinking that you are either born with self esteem or acquire it from something outside of you, e.g., a parent, teacher, job, spouse, kids, money, degrees...
  4. You say that self-esteem is not about saying, "I love me." Many experts would disagree with you, including Dr. Phil and Oprah. What are your thoughts?
  5. You often talk about your age publicly. When most women over 50 admitedly will NEVER admit their age, you brag about it. What's that about? You seem to be proud to be 50 something. Why?
  6. You said something in an interview, once, that I thought was very interesting--that there is a causal connection between fear and low self esteem. Explain.
  7. How do you deal with fear?
  8. There are many public accounts of your service to others. Tell us a few of the service commitments you enjoy the most?
  9. When do you have time to do probono legal work and other volunteer efforts?
